The mandate of special prosecutors is 9 years and after its completion they return to the place where they worked before becoming part of SPAK.

This issue was addressed with concern this Monday in Parliament by the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.

He requested that the special prosecutors be allowed to re-candidate in the SPAK after their term ends.

"We are concerned about the lack of legal status of SPAK prosecutors after the end of their mandate. After 9 years, they return to the country before they became part of SPAK. We have given our proposals so that they can be seen to be given the opportunity to run to be part of SPAK. We appreciate the increase of the threshold of 500 euros. Any corrupt act over this amount makes SPAK competent. We ask for this margin to increase and to focus on the most sensitive issues", emphasized Dumani./ CNA
