"I'm pregnant, I have complications"/ Ajola Xoxa requests a

Ajola Xoxa, the wife of the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has addressed the Special Court with a request to change the security measure.

As reported, Xoxa has stated that she is experiencing health complications caused by the pregnancy.

Currently, the request is awaiting review by Judge Engjëllushe Tahiri.

In the event that Ajola Xoxa has health problems caused by the pregnancy, the justice authorities must respect the circumstances in this case and must grant permission for everything requested by Xoxa, having the status of a wife and mother.

The Special Prosecution Office "copied" the file on the case against Veliaj, where Ajola Xoza was involved and now faces 12 charges, listed as follows:

“Passive corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials”, committed in collaboration, in relation to the irregular benefit received from “A.. K...” shpk, provided for by article 260 and 25 of the Criminal Code;
