Integration/ Zhulali: 9 countries do not agree on moving to the phase of closing

International affairs expert Ilda Zhulali spoke this evening regarding Albania's integration process into the European Union.

In a television appearance this evening, Zhulali stated that today there are 9 countries that do not agree to move to the next phase for closing the chapters. According to her, the reason for this is the current situation in our country, while adding that the main problem for this is the elections.

"Unlike any other time, Germany has become the locomotive of 4 other countries, saying that Albania has problems and will not approve the report for the review of the assessment, today there are 9 countries that do not agree to approve the report to move to the next phase for closing the chapters.

The reason is the situation in our country. The main issues group is about democracy and we are concerned about elections. We have a problem with Bosnia, the elections. In no case has a country that has had problems with elections become a member of the EU, never. The OSCE/ODIHR admits this in its report that rejected the past elections, saying that here the elections were held under party-state conditions," said Zhulali. /CNA
