Advanced technology installed in Blood Transfusion

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has announced the installation of a new innovative platform in the healthcare system, describing it as an important step for improving medical services in the country.

It is an automatic platform with Real-Time PCR technology, located in the Immunohematology Laboratory at the National Blood Transfusion Center.

According to Rama, this technology enables molecular blood typing, ensuring more accurate matching between donors and patients. This is expected to significantly increase the safety and efficiency of transfusions and transplants.
