GJKKO has issued a decision prohibiting the publication of the SPAK file for the last operation, where 21 security measures were given for Suel Çela's group and the people who are accused of collaborating with him.

Triggered by this decision, SPAK has asked the media not to release the file until the preliminary investigations are completed.

The Special Prosecutor's Office says that any unauthorized publication damages the investigative process and creates serious consequences for the security of the parties involved.

"The Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime calls on all media and public actors to respect the Decision of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO), dated 22.11.2024 "On determining the amount of personal insurance" for criminal case no. 138 and the legislation for the protection of investigative secrecy. Any unauthorized publication not only harms the investigative process, but creates serious consequences for the safety of the parties involved and the integrity of the investigative process.

In accordance with the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office to maintain investigative secrecy and to prohibit the publication of investigative documents, the GJKKO in its decision has ordered that:

"26. Based on Article 103 of the Penal Code, it is ordered to prohibit the publication of the request of the prosecution, its content, as well as the acts related to the case until the end of the investigation, as well as the publication of this decision until the end of the preliminary investigation. .”

27. Disobeying the order defined in point 26 of the provisions of this decision constitutes a criminal offense defined in article 295/a paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code, entitled "Disclosure of acts or secret data".

We clarify that, after giving and receiving copies of this decision from the investigators and the defense side, it was noticed that parts of it were made public in the media, contrary to the court order and the legal framework. All persons under investigation have been forwarded a copy of the court's decision against signing the minutes for the preservation of investigative secrecy.

The Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime remains committed to guaranteeing a fair, transparent investigative process and in full compliance with the law, protecting the rights and safety of citizens", SPAK emphasizes./ CNA
