The Constitutional Court has dismissed Prime Minister Edi Rama, accepting Erion Veliaj's appeal for his dismissal from office.
According to reports, Veliaj defeated Prime Minister Edi Rama with a vote of 5 in favor and 3 against by members of the Constitutional Court.
The latter politically dismissed him in the SP Assembly, ordering the Municipal Council to initiate procedures for his dismissal.
The Municipal Council met on September 23rd and decided in favor of Veliaj's dismissal. On the 25th, his dismissal was approved at a government meeting.
Veliaj then sent his dismissal to the Constitutional Court, which ruled in Veliaj's favor, overturning the government's decision to dismiss him.
We recall that after Veliaj's dismissal, Rama sent the vacancies for the country's 6 municipalities to the Presidency and the President decreed the election date, which was subsequently overturned.
So, Veliaj remains in office./ CNA
