Former president Rexhep Meidani in a TV interview commented on the political situation in the country and gave a solution to the impasse. 

According to him, the socialists should withdraw from the situation with the government and the opposition. 

"Normally, the strongest should withdraw, that is, the part of the government. I believe they will reflect because this cannot continue. In all cases when there is a conflict, the one who is strong makes concessions. This is how we acted. To find the solution belongs to the one who has the greatest opportunities, the power in hand", he said. 

President Meidani's advice continues for socialists not to obstruct the creation of commissions.

"I don't call the recent changes in the parliament regulation normal. Parliamentary committees give democratic breath not only to Parliament, but also to society, and I do not call their limitation a positive element", he said. 

In the same way, President Meidani is also critical of the impotence of the head of state today; where it is necessary according to him to change the method of election.

"The president is currently out of action. The point is that currently his role is weak, and he does not represent the voice of the citizens because he was not elected by the people. The situation is not positive", he concluded./ CNA
