Erion Veliaj sued/Aulon Kalaja: I'm not taking any steps back, it will be

Aulon Kalaja has announced that he has appeared at the Tirana Court, Criminal Chamber, to face the defamation lawsuit filed by Erion Veliaj.

Kalaja stated that the session was postponed because Veliaj was not present because he is in prison.

The hearing has been postponed to November 12 at 12:00 and the judge has decided that Veliaj must come from prison and appear before the court.

According to the judge, if Veliaj does not appear, the case will be dismissed.

Kalaja has emphasized that he will not take a single step back until he confronts Veliaj to understand who the slanderer is.

"Honorable friends, according to the summons, I appeared at the Tirana Court, Criminal Chamber, to face the defamation lawsuit that the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has filed against me.

Prepared with facts and evidence and not backing down from any public statement of mine, I waited for Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj at the courthouse, but he did not come.

The judge in the case adjourned the hearing to November 12, 12:00, deciding that Veliaj must come out of prison and appear before the court.

Therefore, he should not avoid the lawsuit that he filed himself and felt insulted and humiliated. If he does not appear, the judge said, the case will be dismissed, according to the law.

In the meantime, I expect a confrontation and will not take a single step back. It will be clear once and for all who is the slanderer and why such cases are being opened against me in court.
