Eco Park of Durrës/ Journalist: How it is related to the incinerator

Journalist Julian Hoxha spoke about the Durrës Eco Park and how this project is related to the incinerator company.

In the Task Force show with journalist Sonila Meço, the journalist stated that Eco Park started a year before the earthquake, where a tender for this project had not yet been opened.

Journalist Hoxha explains that the preparations had started earlier after the statements of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who said that he would turn the waste disposal site in Durres into a recreational place.

According to the journalist, the incinerator company knew the technical data before a tender was opened for this project.

He raises questions about how the company knew that the government would open a tender for the Eco Park project in Durrës.

"The question mark is where 13 million euros went from the 19 that were tendered.

This is related to the Prime Minister's signature that he was the one who initiated it in public appearances and was the one who, through the announcement and establishment of the emergency committee due to the earthquake, issued a decision that forced all the municipalities that the waste that would be created would they went to the Durres Eco Park in the former urban waste landfill of the city of Durres.

This is the decisive point or firm that paved the way for Eco Park. Eco Park begins a year before the earthquake where the companies started to move after the prime minister had made an earlier statement and a promise that he would turn that storage site into a recreational place. He repeated the statement in May 2019, while the prime minister repeated the statements, underground attempts had begun, so two months earlier, two companies, Integrated Energy, had contacted an architectural studio to design a project.

How did the company know there was going to be a tender? Who gave the technical data for the landfill, that there is technical data that it is about the amount of waste, about the space, about the cadastral area, the data that a company must have before designing the project.

How did the company know that the government would open a tender to build the Eco Park?", said the journalist.

Asked by the journalist Sonila Meço why a company like Integrated Energy would spend the money without knowing that they would be the ones who would receive the project, the journalist said that the same scheme as for the incinerators was made.

A company comes out that proposes and makes a project privately, pays the project 225,000 euros, and then the prime minister comes out and confirms and publishes the project.

"This is the question, here we are dealing with a relationship between the private and the state.

For a company to enter into an unsolicited offer, of course, it must have some indications, as happened in the case of incinerators. The scheme is the same.

A company comes out that proposes and makes a project privately, pays the project 225,000 euros, and then the prime minister comes out and confirms and publishes the project.

Here the suspicion arises that it is the prime minister who asked for this or if it is the opposite, he should come out and speak and give explanations", said journalist Hoxha./ CNA
