The Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, His Beatitude Joani, presided over the Divine Liturgy on the Fifth Sunday of Luke (The Rich Man and Lazarus).

His Beatitude, during his speech, gave several strong messages, saying that the mention of a person's name by God is salvation.

Further, in his message, Archbishop Joan said that a proud mind that aims to be first is actually last.

 

“ God only mentions the name of Lazarus, not the rich man. The mention of a person’s name by God is salvation for a person. Love defines who we are. Lazarus accepted his suffering without complaint. A proud mind that would be first is actually last. And a humble mind like the saints is first.

Life is ours, but it is not just ours. It is also connected to the people around us.

The church reminds us every week of different things because we forget.
