The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has been declared a global champion of the fight against corruption by the US State Department.
About the announcement of Duman as one of the 10 global anti-corruption champions, the US deputy assistant secretary for the Western Balkans, Alexander Kasanof, spoke this Thursday in Tirana.
The latter said that this Duman award is also for SPAK, while he congratulated the Albanians.
“Thank you for the opportunity to join. It is an honor and a privilege. First, congratulations to Chief Prosecutor Dumani for being declared an anti-corruption champion by Secretary Blinken. It was a big day for Albania. This award is not only for Duman, but for SPAK and Albania. Blinken praised the work of SPAK. It's an exciting moment, we congratulate you from Washington. It took tremendous courage to embark on this journey. Courage to build an institution from nothing, to fight a lot of corruption and organized crime", emphasized Kasanof./ CNA
