Ceremony of Doxology of the Flag/ Metropolitan of Korça: We have the duty

On the occasion of the November holidays, as every year, the "Resurrection" Cathedral of Korça held the Doxology of the Flag ceremony, which was led by His Grace the Metropolitan of Korça Hirësi Joani and with the participation of all the clergy of the city.

During his message, the Metropolitan of Korça, Joan Pelushi emphasized that we all have the duty and responsibility to make Albania flourish.

Monsignor Joan Pelushi underlines that a true patriot is the one who flourishes his country, not someone who abuses and wastes.

"Today is a day of remembrance. We gather every year to commemorate two very important things.

First, to thank god for giving us a beautiful country that has everything, mountains, plains, hills, rivers, but we are the custodians of it. We are here to take care of the country. Thank God but thanks is not enough. Responsibility is needed, we have the duty to make this country flourish, because any person who thinks and says that "I love God" does not love the country that gave birth and raised him, that person is a liar.

It is impossible to love God and not love your people, your family, and all the people of the country where you live. Therefore, our responsibility is to make this country flourish. A true patriot is the one who flourishes his country, not a person who abuses, wastes.

And if we talk all day about the motherland, true love is not just a feeling but an action. Those people who do good deeds are the ones who are called good guardians and are rewarded by God. While those who abuse are called bad guardians and will be punished by God.

Therefore, on this honorable day for our people, let us always keep in mind first the thanksgiving and secondly the responsibility we have to make this country flourish.
